Deep Strata is created around an individually selected banded agate, chosen for the remarkable relationship between its natural layers and teardrop silhouette.

Fine, curved bands move inward from the stone's edges, gradually deepening into smoky blue-grey and muted violet tones. Near the upper centre, warmer brown and mauve-grey layers form a softly defined focal point. The surrounding bands follow the stone's contours, creating a sense of movement and depth without feeling visually busy.

What makes this particular agate distinctive is the way its pattern sits within the shape. Rather than spreading evenly across the surface, the concentric layers gather toward the upper part of the pendant, drawing the eye inward and giving the stone an almost architectural sense of order.

The polished surface reveals subtle shifts in colour and translucency as the light changes.
